Our History, Track Record, and Expansion

Since our inception in 1988, McMahan Securities has been providing leadership in the convertible securities market.  Our business model has been devoted to client driven trading rather than proprietary trading. This emphasis on putting our clients first has helped McMahan Securities build a strong institutional client base.  In recognition of our contributions to the convertible securities market, we had received the Institutional Investor's "Best Of The Boutiques Award" in Convertible Research.  As the Financial Crisis unfolded in 2008, McMahan Securities saw high yield and distressed securities as opportunities offering superior investment return potential.  At the same time, the demise of the traditional investment bank model opened up the competitive landscape.  To better serve our clients today, we expanded our platform aggressively by building a seasoned team of high yield and distressed professionals.  Today, McMahan Securities is much more than a premier convertible securities broker/dealer.  We are an emerging force in high yield and distressed securities.
